Devon Smillie Bike Check
We’re out in Montreal right now working on a special video with the whole crew. We caught up with freecoasting steeze lord Devon Smillie and took a look at his current whip and find out what makes his bike tick. Devon is running a full eclat drivetrain and wheelset featuring our CORTEX Freecoaster and the new wider BONDI XL rims. Devon’s bike is dialled, take a look here…

One sturdy unit. Devon rides the Slattery stem. The minimal design, STC (Shark Tooth Clamping), larger head bolts and wider faceplate make the Slattery a stem you can really trust even on the biggest drops.
Those bars aint slippin any time soon...

Devon swears by our 24mm Onyx Crank. The larger spindle creates a much stiffer crank, whilst the hollow spindle helps keep the weight down.
Devon's signature grips from Flybikes.
A favourite of many of the team, Devon runs our new Contra pedal because of it's slim profile and larger surface area.
When you spend enough time on your front pegs, a dialled front hub setup is a must. Devon rides our Dynamic front hub paired up with robust Nylon hubguards on either side. The narrower flange spacing on the Dynamic hub allows more room for a hubguard with a better shape, preventing you from catching the guards during grinding, and a much smoother grinding surface.
Devon's signature Flybikes Fuego frame.
Devon is one of those guys who is really pushing the boundaries of backwards riding, linking difficult fakie tricks into well balanced lines which you have to rewind 20 times just to work out exactly how he did it. Devon rides our CORTEX FREECOASTER paired up with Nylon fibreglass hubguards on both sides to keep those grinds nice and slick.
You’ll see x4 Venom pegs on Devon’s whip, a part that Devon has been running a long time before he even joined the squad. Devon rides these in the longer 4.5″ option because of the extra room it gives you for crooked grinds and hardway spins.
Devon's running our Vent Guard in 25t bolted up to the 24mm Onyx cranks.
25t Vent Guard keeping that chain nice and safe.
Krejmas behind the lens.
That Montreal heat.
Look out for the full #EclatMountRoyal video coming soon. In the mean time, refresh your self with Devon’s recent SALVATION section as well as his insane welcome to the team video from a few months back…
